Director Tan Yew Chai

DPE’s design integration techniques devise safe, economical and energy-efficient building solutions that benefit clients.

Tan Yew Chai received his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore and has amassed 13 years of experience in large-scale C&S engineering projects locally and overseas. He has extensive experience in design and management, and has led teams numbering up to 26 engineers and draftsmen.

Yew Chai has been serving as Technical Director (C&S) on the Resorts World Sentosa project since 2008, working closely with consultants and client to optimise structural elements without compromising design intent. The team successfully completed the first phase of the project ahead of schedule.

His portfolio includes a wide range of projects of diverse scale and typology, including design-build contracts for commercial, high-rise residential and institutional developments. His current projects include Resorts World Sentosa (West Zone); eCO, a large condominium development with five housing typologies at Bedok; Alexandra Central, a 19-storey, 450-room hotel at Bukit Merah;  Bogyoke Aung San Square, a prime multi-use development at the heart of Yangon, Myanmar; and Sun City, a multi-use development in Hanoi, Vietnam.
